Phosphate Hill is a mining town in Queensland's Shire of Cloncurry, Australia. It serves as the operational base for the Duchess phosphate mine, which produces approximately 975,000 tonnes of phosphate fertiliser annually. The mine employs around 250 people who reside at the on-site mining camp during their shifts. The Phosphate Hill Power Station, commissioned in 2000, provides electricity to the operation. The town is also known as The Monument, named after a nearby mountain featuring a distinctive rock pillar.
