
Philpott is a rural locality in Queensland's North Burnett Region, covering 65.4 square kilometers and home to approximately 32 residents. The area is characterized by grazing lands and native vegetation, with the Burnett River forming its southern boundary and Philpott Creek along the western edge. The Burnett Highway traverses the locality, connecting it to neighboring areas. Historically, Philpott featured the Philpott Creek railway station on the former Mungar Junction to Monto line, which ceased operations in 2008. The Philpott Central State School operated from 1913 until its closure around 1948. Today, the nearest primary schools are in Binjour and Mundubbera, with secondary education available in Gayndah and Eidsvold.
