Perlubie Beach, located 20 minutes north of Streaky Bay on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, offers a serene beachfront camping experience along 600 meters of pristine white sand. Accessible via Perlubie Landing Road, the campground provides basic facilities, including a toilet block, with campers required to bring their own portable toilet and blackwater storage. The calm, shallow waters are ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and leisurely walks. Notably, Perlubie Beach hosts a unique New Year's Day Race Meet, a 1,600-meter event along the beach at low tide, dating back to 1913. The area is also known for its picturesque sunsets, sand dunes, and coastal rock formations. Please respect the privately owned dunes nearby and remain within designated areas. Before booking, campers should check weather and tide conditions, as high tides can affect access. Each campsite accommodates one caravan or camper trailer; multiple setups per site are not permitted. A limited number of bins are available, so visitors are asked to take their rubbish with them to help keep the beach pristine.
