Penneshaw Beach, also known as Hog Bay, is a 600-meter-long stretch facing northeast, offering a serene environment for swimming and picnicking. The beach features a reserve and low foredune along its length, with picnic facilities and toilets at the western end, and a monument to French explorers at the eastern end. A road runs parallel to the beach, providing easy access and ample parking. Historically, the area was named Hog Bay after pigs were released here long ago. Today, it remains a popular family-friendly destination.
