
Pelican Point, located at the end of Australia II Drive in Crawley, Western Australia, is a picturesque sand spit extending into the Swan River. This nature reserve is a vital sanctuary for migratory birds, including pelicans, which rest on its sandbars. The northern side features facilities such as showers, toilets, and a mobile snack kiosk. Visitors can enjoy activities like bird watching, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, kiteboarding, swimming, and windsurfing. The area is also home to the Royal Perth Yacht Club, Mounts Bay Sailing Club, and the 1st Pelican Point Sea Scouts. During World War II, Pelican Point served as a base for Catalina flying boats.
