Located at 2 Johnston Street in White Cliffs, the Paroo-Darling Visitor Centre serves as a gateway to the Paroo-Darling National Park. This unstaffed centre offers visitors maps and essential information about the park's unique ecosystem, including the internationally significant Peery Lake. The area is renowned for its diverse birdlife, such as the freckled duck and blue-billed duck. The centre features accessible picnic areas, providing a comfortable spot to relax before exploring the park's arid landscapes and rich Aboriginal heritage sites. Please note, the centre is unstaffed and operates Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some weekend openings. Visitors are advised to prepare adequately for the remote conditions, especially during summer heat.
