Osborne Mine, situated approximately 190 km southeast of Mount Isa and 150 km south of Cloncurry in Queensland, Australia, is a significant copper and gold mining operation. Established in 1995 by Placer Pacific Ltd, the mine has undergone various phases, including open-pit and underground mining, processing a total of 35.6 million tonnes of ore by February 2021. In March 2019, Chinova Resources initiated the Osborne Underground Remnant Mining Project, extracting approximately 880,000 tonnes of ore by February 2021. Following the completion of this project, the mine transitioned to care and maintenance in February 2021.
