
Nestled behind the windswept sand dunes of Killiecrankie, Flinders Island Olives is Tasmania's only commercial olive grove, established in 2002. Spanning 3.6 hectares, it boasts 1,100 certified organic olive trees, including varieties like Frantoio, Leccino, Picual, Coratina, Picholine, and Barnea. The grove thrives in the clean, unspoiled environment of Flinders Island, producing a complex, peppery extra virgin olive oil. Visitors can experience the harvest season from April to June, with olives handpicked and pressed on-site within hours to ensure the highest quality.
