Nestled in Walhalla's main street, the Old Walhalla Post Office Museum, built in 1886, stands as the town's last remaining original public building. This heritage-listed site showcases the post office and the postmaster's residence, both meticulously preserved to reflect their 19th-century origins. Visitors can explore authentic furnishings, original wallpapers, and historical artifacts that offer a vivid glimpse into the gold rush era. Operated by dedicated volunteers, the museum welcomes guests on weekends and public holidays from 10 am to 4 pm, with entry by donation.
