Nestled within the Gawler Ranges National Park, the Old Paney Homestead offers a glimpse into 19th-century pastoral life. Constructed in the 1860s, this stone homestead was once home to station manager William McKenzie, his wife Jessie, and their eleven children. Visitors can explore the four-room dwelling, complete with original fireplaces and a wood-fired stove, reflecting the resilience of early settlers. The homestead is accessible via the Old Paney Scenic Route, a 4WD track that also leads to other park highlights like the Organ Pipes and Kolay Mirica Falls.
