Old Laura Homestead, Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park (CYPAL)

Nestled in the southern part of Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park, Old Laura Homestead offers a glimpse into the region's rich pastoral history. Established in 1879 by Irish immigrants Fergus O'Beirne and Peter McDermott, the homestead became a thriving cattle station by 1894, boasting over 8,000 head of cattle.
