Old Hut Site Camping Area

Nestled between Mount Barney's east and west peaks, the Old Hut Site camping area offers a secluded retreat accessible via a 4 to 5-hour hike from Yellow Pinch Reserve. This exposed site accommodates up to four campers, providing a soil and leaf litter surface for tents. With no facilities, campers must be self-sufficient, bringing essentials like drinking water, food, and a fuel stove, as open fires are prohibited. Mobile phone coverage is average, and the area is closed from December 1 to January 31 to protect the environment.
