Oakden Fire Station

Oakden Fire Station, located at 700 Grand Junction Road, Gilles Plains, SA 5086, is staffed by full-time firefighters providing emergency response 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Established on 26 March 1991 by The Hon J A Quirke MP, the station serves the Oakden community and surrounding areas. In April 2023, the Metropolitan Fire Service initiated investigations at the station to assess the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment, with findings indicating low-risk exposure pathways.
