O'Tooles Camp

O'Tooles Campground is the largest site along the Aberfeldy Backroad 4WD Tour's Donnelly's Creek Loop, featuring an expansive open grassy area surrounded by riverine forest. It offers ample space for large groups and vehicle-based camping, equipped with numerous firepits, picnic tables, and a toilet. A central communal gazebo serves both day visitors and campers, and a short walk leads to the creek. The O'Tooles held a lease on the land in the early 1900s after the end of the 1860s gold rush along Donnelly's Creek. The land reverted to Crown land, and Little O'Tooles and O'Tooles became campgrounds in the mid-1980s.
