Nurragingy Reserve

Nurragingy Reserve, spanning over 84 hectares in Doonside, offers a diverse range of attractions for visitors. The Chang Lai Yuan Chinese Gardens, featuring a stunning gateway, stone bridge, pavilion, and waterfall gazebo, provide a tranquil setting. The Aboriginal Heritage Garden honors local Indigenous culture with a yarning circle, native plantings, and Indigenous artworks. Families can enjoy multiple playgrounds, including the Wawai Ngurra inclusive adventure playspace, and a water play area near the Wren picnic shelter. The reserve also features bushwalking tracks, cycleways, and picnic shelters with wood-fired barbecues. For those interested in miniature trains, the Nurragingy Miniature Railway operates on the third Sunday of every month. The Colebee Café by Harvey's Social offers a variety of refreshments, including coffee, burgers, and ice creams. The reserve is accessible via Knox Road, Doonside, with ample parking available.
