Nunnock Campground

Nestled in South East Forest National Park, Nunnock Campground offers a serene retreat with three tent sites and one drive-in site for camper trailers or caravans. Surrounded by lush forests, diverse swamps, and expansive grasslands, it provides an ideal base for nature enthusiasts. The campground features picnic tables, barbecue facilities, and non-flush toilets. From here, embark on the 4km Nunnock Swamp walking track, traversing tall wet forests, dry forests, and vibrant grasslands. Keep an eye out for wedge-tailed eagles soaring above and native wildflowers blooming in spring and summer. The moderate 2km Keys walking track leads through grasslands and snow gum woodlands to historic Alexanders Hut, offering a glimpse into the area's pastoral past. As night falls, enjoy a campfire meal and watch for ringtail possums, wombats, and, if you're lucky, greater gliders. Please note, there are no camping fees, but a $6 booking fee applies.
