Nestled in North East Victoria, Nug Nug Reserve offers a serene camping experience approximately 13 km south of Myrtleford on Buffalo River Road. Surrounded by the picturesque Mount Buffalo National Park, it provides ample space for tents, caravans, motorhomes, and swags. The reserve features two toilet blocks (one with disabled access), cold showers, limited powered sites, picnic tables, free electric undercover BBQs, a tennis court, a shared basketball/netball court, fireplaces, and a swimming waterhole. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Fires are permitted in compliance with campfire regulations, except on Total Fire Ban days. The reserve operates on a first-come, first-served basis and does not accept bookings. It is located approximately 14 km south of Myrtleford and 3.5 hours north-east of Melbourne via the Hume Freeway and the Great Alpine Road. From Myrtleford, turn right onto Buffalo River Road and follow for approximately 11 km. After passing the Buffalo River CFA shed on your left, take the next left. If you cross McGuffies Bridge, you've gone too far. The road will eventually turn to gravel and come to a fork intersection. Take the left fork, then the right at the following fork. Approximately 200 meters further down, turn right and follow the road into the camping ground.
