Northern Grampians Shire Council | Stawell Town Hall

The Stawell Town Hall, located at 59-69 Main Street, serves as the administrative hub for the Northern Grampians Shire Council. This historic building, constructed in 1872, showcases a blend of interwar Art Deco and Victorian Classical architectural styles. Notable features include a five-bayed front section, an arcuated portico, round-arched tripartite windows, a circular balcony, and an Art Deco clock tower adorned with Ionic aedicule, triple-arched corbelling, and figures of cast miners. The hall houses the Stawell Entertainment Centre, a versatile venue suitable for weddings, meetings, concerts, and plays, accommodating up to 409 guests. Amenities include a kitchen, stage, air conditioning, heating, disabled access, and ample parking. The building also features a clock tower with animated figures and chimes activated at 9:00 am, noon, and 3:00 pm.
