North Rockhampton Cemetery

Established in 1879, North Rockhampton Cemetery spans approximately 11 hectares at the junction of Yaamba Road and Moores Creek Road in Norman Gardens. This monumental cemetery houses over 25,100 graves, including a section maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to honor war veterans. Services offered include burials in monumental areas, ashes interments in pre-existing or reserved graves, and a Memorial Wall for plaques commemorating those whose graves are unknown. The cemetery is open to visitors from sunrise to sunset, providing a tranquil environment for reflection and remembrance.
