Nestled in Wollemi National Park, Newnes Campground offers a serene retreat accessible only by a 10-kilometer walk from Glen Davis via the Pipeline track. Surrounded by dramatic sandstone cliffs and eucalypt trees, the campground provides a grassy, flat area beside the Wolgan River. Facilities include non-flush toilets and wood barbecues; campers must bring their own firewood. Visitors can explore historic shale oil ruins, enjoy nearby walking tracks, and camp on the opposite side of the river. Please note, there are no camping fees, but a $6 booking fee applies.
