Nepean Dam, completed in 1935, stands as the last and smallest of the four Upper Nepean dams. Its 81-meter-high wall impounds a 325-hectare lake, supplying water to Bargo, Thirlmere, Picton, The Oaks, and parts of Sydney. Visitors can traverse the dam wall to enjoy panoramic views of the lake and surrounding bushland. The site features picnic shelters, electric barbecues, a children's playground, and accessible facilities, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation. Entry is free, with operating hours from 10 am to 5 pm daily, extending to 7 pm on weekends and public holidays during daylight saving time.
