The Naracoopa Jetty, constructed between 1915 and 1916, extends 199 meters into the sea, offering picturesque views of King Island's coastline. Originally 220 meters long, it was shortened after a severe storm in 1946. In 1996, facing deterioration, the Tasmanian Government planned its demolition. However, a dedicated local campaign led to the council's acquisition and a $500,000 restoration, reopening the jetty in January 2010. Today, it serves as a favored spot for leisurely strolls and fishing, attracting both tourists and locals.
