Mutawintji National Park

Mutawintji National Park, located northeast of Broken Hill, showcases a rugged desert landscape rich in Aboriginal history. Dominated by the Bynguano Ranges, the park features vibrant red gorges, rockpools, and creek beds lined with red gums. Visitors can explore various walking tracks, including the Homestead Gorge, Rockholes Loop, and Mutawintji Gorge tracks. The Mutawintji Historic Site, accessible via guided tours, boasts one of the best collections of Aboriginal rock art in New South Wales. Camping facilities are available at Homestead Creek campground, offering a serene outback experience.
