Murrigal is a rural locality in Queensland's Cassowary Coast Region, covering 40.9 square kilometers and home to approximately 106 residents. The area is predominantly used for sugarcane cultivation, with some grazing on native vegetation. The Bruce Highway runs through Murrigal, accompanied by the North Coast railway line to its west. The former Murrigal railway station is now abandoned. The Murrigal Cemetery, established in 1895, is situated on the eastern side of the Bruce Highway. The nearest primary schools are Murray Upper State School and Tully State School, with Tully State High School serving as the closest secondary school.
