Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre

The Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre, located on Gibb River Road near Derby, Western Australia, serves as a vibrant hub for the Worrorra, Ngarinyin, and Wunumbal peoples. These communities, united by their reverence for the Wandjina spirits, are the custodians of Wandjina law and iconography. The centre features a gallery showcasing works from both established and emerging artists, a museum offering immersive exhibits on Wandjina Wunggurr history, and hosts the annual Mowanjum Festival, one of Australia's longest-running Indigenous cultural festivals.
