Nestled in the foothills of Mount Elliot and the Great Dividing Range, this peaceful, family-friendly campground offers 70 acres of shady grounds teeming with wildlife, including wallabies and abundant birdlife. The 20-acre dam, replenished by rain, is ideal for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Guests can choose from powered or unpowered sites suitable for various rigs. Amenities include separate male and female toilet and shower blocks with hot water, a camp kitchen equipped with gas barbecue cooktops, filtered drinking water, and two fridges. Laundry facilities are available with coin-operated washing machines. The campground is pet-friendly, with dogs required to be on a lead at all times. Located 45 km south of Townsville and Magnetic Island ferry terminal, and 45 km north of Ayr, it's conveniently accessible via the Bruce Highway.
