Mount Spencer

Mount Spencer, standing at 530 meters, is a prominent peak in Queensland's Central Highlands, near the rural locality of Minerva. The area is characterized by rugged terrain, including volcanic peaks, sheltered gorges, sheer cliffs, open woodlands, and dry rainforest. The Minerva Hills National Park, encompassing Mount Spencer, offers visitors scenic lookouts and picnic areas, though camping is not permitted. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna, including mountain coolibahs, silver-leaved ironbarks, gum-topped bloodwoods, and dry rainforest species like figs and vines. The park also features significant geological formations, including the Virgin Rock on Mount Zamia, which displays a natural figure resembling the Virgin Mary cradling the baby Jesus.
