Mount Morgan Historical Museum

The Mount Morgan Historical Museum, located at 87 Morgan Street, showcases the rich heritage of Mount Morgan, Queensland. Housed in a building erected in 1895, the museum features an extensive collection of mining equipment, historic household and business items, and over 600 photographs depicting the town's development. Notable exhibits include horse-drawn buggies, a 1921 Buick hearse, and a 1942 International Fire Engine. The award-winning "Mount Morgan Murri" exhibit highlights the history of the local Indigenous community through artifacts, stories, and photographs. Open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, the museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the area's past.
