Perched at over 1,000 meters in Carnarvon National Park's Mount Moffatt section, the Rotary Shelter Shed camping area offers a serene retreat accessible exclusively by high-clearance 4WD vehicles. This secluded spot features a picnic shelter, non-flush toilet, and limited water suitable for cooking and drinking. Campers can enjoy tent camping beside their vehicles or walk-in camping, with open fires permitted in provided barbecues when conditions allow. The area provides expansive views over the southern parts of the park, making it an ideal base for exploring the High Country drive and nearby attractions like the Consuelo Tableland. Please note that mobile phone coverage is unavailable, and camping permits are required.
