Mount Kosciuszko Summit walk (nr. Charlotte Pass)

Embark on the Mount Kosciuszko Summit Walk, an 18.6 km return journey from Charlotte Pass to Australia's highest peak at 2,228 meters. This Grade 3 track, taking 6 to 8 hours, features a formed path with occasional steps and short steep sections. Along the way, pass historic huts, weathered snow gums, and alpine wildflowers like marsh marigolds and silver snow daisies. The trail offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Snowy Mountains. In winter, the path is snowbound; cross-country skiing or snowshoeing is possible, though no snow poles mark the route.
