Mount Exmouth walking track

Embark on a challenging 17km return hike through Warrumbungle National Park's Mount Exmouth walking track, leading to the 1,206m summit of Mount Exmouth. This Grade 4 trail offers 5-7 hours of diverse scenery, including varied vegetation and unique basalt rock formations. Along the way, encounter wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, and wallaroos. In spring, the area blooms with wildflowers like pink hyacinth orchids and nodding greenhoods. At the summit, enjoy panoramic 360-degree views of the park and the vast western plains. Be prepared with a topographic map, compass, or GPS, as mobile reception is limited. Remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sufficient drinking water. Park entry fees apply.
