Mount Emu Creek, a 250-kilometer perennial waterway in Victoria's Western District, is the state's longest creek. Originating near Trawalla, it flows southward, passing through towns like Skipton and Darlington, before merging with the Hopkins River near Cudgee. The creek is renowned for its rich biodiversity, including populations of platypuses and redfin. Anglers frequent its waters, particularly around McKinnons Bridge, Castlecary Road Bridge, Ayresford Road, and Panmure Bridge, where they can catch brown trout, rainbow trout, and European perch. The surrounding area offers picturesque landscapes and opportunities for outdoor activities.
