Mount Buffalo National Park, established in 1898, spans 31,000 hectares of Victoria's High Country, featuring sheer cliffs, granite tors, waterfalls, and diverse alpine flora. The park offers over 90 kilometers of walking tracks, including the Gorge Heritage Walk and the challenging Big Walk to The Horn, the highest point at 1,723 meters. Activities range from camping at Lake Catani to rock climbing, abseiling, and hang gliding. In winter, visitors enjoy tobogganing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The historic Mount Buffalo Chalet, built in 1910, remains a notable landmark.
