
Mount Arthur Reserve, located just outside Wellington, NSW, is a 2,123-hectare Crown Reserve dedicated to public recreation and environmental protection. Rising to 563 meters above sea level, it encompasses three main peaks—Mounts Arthur, Wellesley, and Duke—offering panoramic views of the Wellington Valley. The reserve features seven marked walking trails, ranging from 1.5 to 4 hours in duration, traversing diverse native Australian flora. Picnic areas with tables and fireplaces are available, though camping is prohibited. Recognized on the Register of the National Estate for its natural values, the reserve is home to over 400 native plant species, including 36 terrestrial orchid species, and provides habitat for threatened flora and fauna.
