
Mount Archer National Park, located approximately 9 km north-east of Rockhampton's city centre, offers visitors a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. The park encompasses 4,250 hectares of open forest and woodland, with Mount Archer standing at 604 meters above sea level, providing panoramic views of the city and surrounding ranges. Visitors can explore various walking trails, including the wheelchair-accessible Nurim Circuit elevated boardwalk, which offers stunning vistas of Rockhampton and the Fitzroy River. The park is also home to diverse wildlife, such as the glossy black-cockatoo and unadorned rock-wallabies. Please note that camping is not permitted within the park.
