Morphett's Engine House Museum, located at 2 Market Square in Burra, South Australia, is the only known reconstructed Cornish enginehouse in the world. Built in 1858, it was fully restored in 1986 and now houses a fully operational 1:16 scale model of the original engine, with guides available to explain its workings. The museum features three floors of information boards and videos detailing the history of the engine and the mine. Outside, visitors can explore a restored adit leading to the retimbered shaft, view Morphett's Windinghouse, the pool, mine offices, cottages, Grave's enginehouse, and the open-cut mine. Admission is $4.50 for adults, $3.50 for children and concessions, and $10 for families. Wheelchair access is available to the ground floor, and guided tours can be pre-booked. The museum also offers brochures, related books, souvenirs, toilet facilities, and cold drinks.
