Moree Cemetery

Moree Cemetery, located on Greenbah Road in Moree, NSW, offers a serene environment for reflection and remembrance. The cemetery features distinct sections, including an "Old Section" with Roman Catholic, Church of England, Presbyterian, Methodist, Aboriginal, and Children's areas, each adorned with traditional monuments. The "Lawn Section" provides non-denominational burial spaces accommodating up to three interments per allotment, with options for ashes. A dedicated "Children's Lawn Section" caters exclusively to children up to 12 years old. Additional facilities include two brick columbarium walls for ashes and a Rose Garden for interment. Notably, the cemetery is the final resting place of Mary Brand, the first European woman to settle in Moree, and Edward Bulwer Lytton Dickens, the youngest son of Charles Dickens.
