MORALANA SCENIC DRIVE

Moralana Scenic Drive is a 28-kilometer unsealed road connecting the Outback Highway to Wilpena Pound Road in South Australia's Flinders Ranges. Traversing through Arkaba and Merna Mora Stations, it offers picturesque views of the Elder Range and the southern side of Wilpena Pound. Along the route, travelers can enjoy sightings of native wildlife, including kangaroos, emus, and various bird species. Approximately 15 kilometers into the drive, a turnoff leads to Black Gap Lookout, providing panoramic vistas of the surrounding ranges. The road is generally passable for most vehicles in dry conditions but can be challenging after rain.
