Moonaree is a pastoral lease operating as a sheep station in South Australia's Gawler Ranges, approximately 120 km northeast of Minnipa and 125 km southwest of Woomera. Established before 1885, it was once stocked with over 16,000 sheep and 50 horses. The area is adjacent to Lake Gairdner and is known for its historical significance, including surviving a prolonged heatwave in 1894. In April 2013, the South Australian Government gazetted the land as a locality named Moonaree.
