
Moogerah Dam, completed in 1961, is a mass concrete double curvature arch dam located on Reynolds Creek near Boonah, Queensland. The dam's primary purpose is to supply irrigation water to the Fassifern Valley and provide potable water to the towns of Boonah and Ipswich. The reservoir, known as Lake Moogerah, spans 827 hectares and has a full supply volume of 83,765 megalitres. The dam wall stands 38 meters high and stretches 219 meters in length. Recreational activities at Lake Moogerah include boating, water skiing, fishing, and camping. Haigh Park offers picnic areas, barbecues, and a café, while the dam wall provides access to hiking trails leading to Mount Edwards in Moogerah Peaks National Park.
