Built in 1813 by Scottish immigrant Robert Littlejohn, Montrose House is Tasmania's third-oldest property, constructed from convict bricks with a galvanised iron roof. This Georgian residence features original fireplaces, high ornate ceilings with chandeliers, decorative cornices, Eucalyptus and Huon pine floors, exposed structural beams, and a mix of cedar sash and casement windows. Set on nearly an acre of private gardens, the property includes a heritage-listed oak tree, fruit trees, and a six-stall stable with potential for conversion into guest accommodation or an event venue.
