Mon Repos

Mon Repos, located approximately 13 kilometers northeast of Bundaberg, is renowned for its pristine beach and significant turtle conservation efforts. As Australia's largest and most accessible turtle rookery, it attracts thousands of visitors annually. From November to March, guided tours offer unique opportunities to witness nesting turtles and hatchlings emerging from their nests. Beyond turtle watching, the area features the Barolin Nature Reserve, home to diverse wildlife, and historical sites like the South Sea Islander Wall, reflecting the region's rich heritage. The beach is also a popular spot for swimming and sailing.
