Moir Homestead, established in the 1870s, is located within Stokes National Park, approximately 95 km southwest of Esperance. The site features the conserved ruins of a limestone homestead, blacksmith's workshop, shepherd's camp, woolshed, and stables, all accessible via 4WD. The Moir family, prominent in the region's pastoral development, utilized the homestead as a base for sheep grazing and wool shipping. In the 1890s, it also served as a key entry point for gold prospectors heading to the eastern goldfields. Today, the ruins stand as a testament to early Western Australian settlement and are recognized on national, state, and local heritage registers.
