Mogareka Inlet

Mogareeka Inlet, located near Tathra, offers a serene environment for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The Bega River system provides extensive fishing opportunities from land and sea, with species such as Blackfin, Yellowfin, Bream, Dusky Flathead, Jewfish, Whiting, Mullet, Tailor, Estuary Perch, Bass, and Luderick caught regularly throughout the year. Amenities include a one-lane boat ramp, barbecue area, picnic spots, public toilets, and a children's park. The northern end of Tathra Beach is just across the sand dunes, popular among surfers and swimmers. From Tathra, head north on Andy Poole Drive; it's a six-kilometre drive from the top of town.
