
Moa Island, also known as Banks Island, is the second-largest island in Queensland's Torres Strait, situated approximately 40 km north of Thursday Island. The island encompasses two communities: Kubin, located on the southwest coast, and St Pauls on the east coast, connected by both bitumen and gravel roads. The island's population is around 432 residents. Moa Island is accessible via Kubin Airport, which features a 1,000-meter runway.
