Spanning the Goulburn River, Mitchellstown Bridge is a 14-span timber and steel structure, measuring 120 meters in length with a maximum span of 10 meters. Opened in 1895, it stands as one of Victoria's oldest surviving colonial timber road bridges. The bridge features timber piers, cross-heads, corbels, stringers, cross-beams, and longitudinal decking with timber kerbs and side rails. Located in a floodplain shaded by large river red gums, it is approached by country roads lined with grey box trees, offering picturesque views.
