Milton Hall, constructed in 1842, is a significant heritage building located at 15 Frederick Street in Launceston, Tasmania. Originally known as St John's Square Chapel, it was built in the Greek Revival style under the leadership of Reverend John West. The hall has played a pivotal role in Launceston's history, hosting key events such as debates on the cessation of convict transportation and the framing of Federation. Notably, the first version of the Australian flag was conceived and sewn there. Over the years, Milton Hall has served various purposes, including as a Sunday school and, from 1884 to 1913, as Launceston High School. In 2022, the building was acquired by entrepreneur Rob Sherrard, marking a new chapter in its storied existence.
