Midgee is a rural locality on the east coast of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, approximately 214 kilometers northwest of Adelaide and 37 kilometers north of Cowell. Established in 1998, it encompasses about 607 square kilometers, with land use divided between broadacre farming of cereals and livestock and conservation areas like the Munyaroo Conservation Park. The area features a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild winters, receiving an average annual rainfall of 267.2 mm. Midgee is part of the District Council of Franklin Harbour and falls within the federal division of Grey and the state electoral district of Flinders.
