Located along the Bruce Highway in Midgee, Queensland, the Midgee Rest Area offers a modern, bitumen-surfaced stopover for travelers. Amenities include toilets and picnic tables; however, drinking water is not available. Designated parking spaces are provided for cars, caravans, and motorhomes in front of the facilities. A large horseshoe-shaped area on the left is reserved exclusively for truck parking, as indicated by prominent signage at the entrance. Overnight stays are permitted, making it a convenient and comfortable rest point for long-distance travelers.
