Merritts Creek

Merritts Creek is a tranquil rural locality in Queensland's Toowoomba Region, covering approximately 13.5 square kilometers and home to around 102 residents. Situated about 12 kilometers south-southwest of Crows Nest and 29.6 kilometers north-northeast of Toowoomba's central business district, it offers a serene countryside lifestyle. The area is characterized by its gently undulating terrain and is bordered by neighboring localities such as Pechey to the north and Geham to the south. While Merritts Creek lacks its own educational facilities, nearby schools include Geham State School and Crows Nest State School. The region is also known for its historical significance, with the former Taylor railway station once serving the area before the closure of the Crows Nest railway line in 1961.
